Privacy Policy

Data controller

Avavik Nordic AB (reg.no 559587-8967) is the data controller for the processing of personal data described in this policy. Contact us at kontakt@avavik.com with any questions about your data.

What data do we process?

Website visitors

With your consent we collect anonymised statistics on how the site is used via our own analytics solution, Umami, which we self-host at stats.avavik.com. The statistics include pages visited, approximate device information (browser, operating system, screen size) and a session hash that is not traceable between sessions. No cookies are used for this purpose and no data is sent to third parties.

With your explicit consent we may also record sessions — that is, capture mouse movements, clicks and scroll behaviour — in order to improve the user experience. Form fields and passwords are never recorded.

Registered companies

We process the following data about companies that register an account with us:

Company name and registration number
Email address and phone number
Address
Password (stored as a cryptographic hash — never in plain text)
Logo and cover image (if uploaded)
Company description
Selected service categories, coverage municipalities, availability schedule and pricing

Retention periods

Company data is kept for as long as the account is active. On deregistration the data is deleted within 30 days.
Access tokens (JWT) are valid for 15 minutes.
Refresh tokens are valid for 30 days and are deleted on logout or after expiry.
Anonymised visitor statistics are kept without a time limit in our own analytics database.

Do we share data with third parties?

No. Avavik does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. The analytics solution (Umami) and session recording are run by us on our own infrastructure. No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.

Cookies & local storage

We do not use traditional HTTP cookies. Instead, certain data is stored in the browser's local storage (localStorage). Below is what is stored, why, and for how long.

Umami Analytics

Umami is an open-source web analytics tool that we self-host on our own server (stats.avavik.com). It sets no cookies, does not identify you across sessions and sends no data to external services. Umami collects:

Visited URL and referrer
Browser, operating system and screen size (no fingerprinting)
Country based on anonymised IP (the IP address is not stored)

The cookieless analytics script is always loaded so we can understand how the site is used and improve it. You can still opt out of session recording via "Manage cookies" in the footer.

Session recording

With your explicit consent we may record sessions — that is, how you navigate the site — in order to find and fix problems in the user experience. The recordings are stored on our own server and are never available to third parties. Form fields, password fields and sensitive elements are masked automatically.

Your rights

Under the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Rectification

Request that incorrect data be corrected.

Erasure

Request that your data be deleted ("the right to be forgotten").

Restriction

Request that processing be restricted while a complaint is investigated.

Data portability

Receive your data in a machine-readable format.

Withdrawal

Withdraw your consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

Contact us at kontakt@avavik.com to exercise your rights. We respond within 30 days. You always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).

Terms of Use for companies

1. The service

Avavik is a digital directory service that connects individuals and businesses with professional cleaning services. Companies can register, create a public profile and become visible to potential customers via the platform.

2. Registration and approval

All companies are reviewed manually by Avavik before the profile is published. Avavik reserves the right to reject or unpublish companies that do not meet quality requirements, whose details cannot be verified, or that otherwise breach these terms.

3. Your responsibility

As a registered company you are responsible for ensuring that:

Information about your company (registration number, contact details, services) is correct and kept up to date.
Uploaded images and text do not infringe copyright or third-party rights.
Your business is conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Login credentials are stored securely and not shared with unauthorised persons.

4. Content

Content you upload — logo, cover image, company description — is reviewed by Avavik before it is published. By uploading content you grant Avavik a non-exclusive right to display it on the platform for as long as the account is active.

5. Unpublishing

Avavik may unpublish or suspend an account without prior warning if content breaches these terms, if the information proves to be incorrect, or if the company no longer meets the platform's requirements. We strive to notify affected companies via the registered email address.

6. Limitation of liability

Avavik is an intermediary service and is not a party to agreements between a company and its customers. We are not responsible for payments, work performed or any disputes that arise in connection with services booked via the platform.

7. Changes to the terms

Avavik may update these terms. Material changes are announced via email to the registered address at least 14 days before they take effect.

8. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swedish law. Any disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation. If the parties cannot reach an agreement, the dispute shall be settled by a general Swedish court.
